Activity diagram

The activity diagram is a high-level description of the steps that are executed in the claims handling process.

step1 An insurance holder submits data about a claim to the insurance company.

step2 The insurance claim is checked by a clerk. The clerk can approve the claim, deny compensation of the claim, or trigger follow-up handling of the claim.

step3 If the claim is approved, it is then compensated.

step4 After the claim is compensated or declined, the claim is filed.

step5 If follow-up handling is triggered, the process waits for the specified follow-up time.

step6 The clerk checks the claim again. The clerk can approve the claim, decline compensation of the claim, or trigger follow-up handling.
