Broadcast Command

The following example shows broadcasting a command to all terminals on a multidrop-terminal controller port.

From terminal controller: 

    => STX, z, z, CMD, text, CS1, CS2, ETX
Notes:
  1. Broadcast may be used only with commands 0, 2, 4, 5, 8, 9B, 9C, 9D, 9E, A, B, C, D, E, G, H, I, and P.
  2. Since there is no terminal response to a broadcast command, using a status CMD 1 can determine whether the command executed successfully.
  3. More than 128 bytes should not be broadcast if 7526 DCTs in Compatibility mode and 7525 DCTs are connected on the same line.
  4. Broadcasts are not used for TCP/IP Ethernet-connected 7526 terminals. l.
