Because of the differences between the 7526 and a standard IBM personal
computer, all code development tools can not be used (for example, CodeView,
debug, and so forth). However, the 7526 does have its own display and
keypad, so the traditional basic debugging facility &mdash.printing key
variables at strategic points-is easily available.
Occasionally, a CFR may have such a serious coding defect that
the 7526's memory becomes corrupted and the unit will not
respond to inputs, but is still servicing the watchdog timer.
If keylock mode can not be entered for a cold
start, then the final alternative is to open the 7526 and disconnect the
battery for 10 minutes, and then proceed.
