Shared-Memory Size Allocation

Use the following parameters to control how and where the database server allocates shared memory.

Description
SHMADD
Specifies the increment of memory that is added when the database server requests more memory
SHMBASE
Specifies the shared-memory base address and is computer dependent. Do not change its value.
SHMTOTAL
Specifies the maximum amount of memory that the database server is allowed to use.
SHMVIRTSIZE
Specifies the size of the first piece of memory that the database server attaches.
