In This Chapter

This chapter tells you how to perform tasks related to managing the use of shared memory with the database server. It assumes you are familiar with the terms and concepts in Shared Memory.

This chapter describes how to perform the following tasks:

This chapter does not cover the DS_TOTAL_MEMORY configuration parameter. This parameter places a ceiling on the allocation of memory for decision-support queries. For information on this parameter, refer to your IBM Informix: Performance Guide.

Each coserver has its own shared memory. The shared memory as discussed in this chapter is for an individual coserver.
