This feature is designed to alleviate a problem caused indirectly by light appends, and therefore supports schemas and table types that also support light appends. But there are some tables that support light appends that cannot be repacked (such as unlogged temporary tables), and some tables that do not support light appends that can be repacked (such as tables with long rows or BYTE and TEXT columns). The following list shows which types of tables cannot be repacked:
