Power supply units

Power supply units (PSUs) are subcomponents of enclosures. A PSU takes electrical power from the rack Power Distribution Units (PDUs) and distributes the power to other components in the enclosure.

For redundancy, two PSUs are installed in control and expansion enclosures. When the redundant attribute is yes, one PSU can be removed from the enclosure without affecting the power supply to the enclosure because another PSU is also powering the enclosure.

To access information about the PSU in the management GUI, select Monitoring > System. On the System - Overview page, click the directional arrow next to the component that contains the PSU. Select Power Supply Unit under Rear View to highlight and display information on the PSU. To display information about the PSU in the command-line interface, use the lsenclosurepsu command.
