Use the chvpd command to set vital product data (VPD)
such as serial number and machine type.
Syntax
satask chvpd [ -serialserial_number ] [ -type machine_type_model ] [ { -wwnn1wwnn1 } ] [ { -wwnn2 wwnn2 } ] [ -resetclusterid ] [ -machinepartnumber mpn ] [ panel_name ]
Parameters
- -serialserial_number
- (Optional) Specifies the serial number for system board or enclosure.
- -typemachine_type_model
- (Optional) Specifies the machine model type.
- wwnn1wwnn1
- (Optional) Specifies the WWNN of canister 1.
- wwnn2wwnn2
- (Optional) Specifies the WWNN of canister 2.
- -machinepartnumbermpn
- (Optional) Specifies the machine part number.
- -resetclusterid
- (Optional) Resets the clustered system (system) ID to 0.
- panel_name
- (Optional) Identifies the node being used.
