chvpd

Use the chvpd command to set vital product data (VPD) such as serial number and machine type.

Syntax

satask chvpd [ -serialserial_number ] [ -type machine_type_model ] [ { -wwnn1wwnn1 } ] [ { -wwnn2 wwnn2 } ] [ -resetclusterid ] [ -machinepartnumber mpn ] [ panel_name ]

Parameters

-serialserial_number
(Optional) Specifies the serial number for system board or enclosure.
-typemachine_type_model
(Optional) Specifies the machine model type.
wwnn1wwnn1
(Optional) Specifies the WWNN of canister 1.
wwnn2wwnn2
(Optional) Specifies the WWNN of canister 2.
-machinepartnumbermpn
(Optional) Specifies the machine part number.
-resetclusterid
(Optional) Resets the clustered system (system) ID to 0.
panel_name
(Optional) Identifies the node being used.

Description

The command sets vital product data (VPD), including the serial number, WWPN, machine type, and system ID.
