Switch zoning limitations for HDS Thunder, Hitachi AMS 200, AMS 500, and AMS 1000, WMS100, or HDS TagmaStore WMS

There are limitations in switch zoning for the Lenovo Storage V7000 and the HDS Thunder, Hitachi AMS 200, AMS 500, and AMS 1000, WMS100, or HDS TagmaStore WMS systems.

Switch zoning

The HDS Thunder, Hitachi AMS 200, AMS 500, and AMS 1000, WMS100, or HDS TagmaStore WMS systems present themselves to a Lenovo Storage V7000clustered system as separate storage systems for each port zoned to the Lenovo Storage V7000. For example, if one of these storage systems has four ports zoned to the Lenovo Storage V7000, each port appears as a separate storage system rather than one storage system with four WWPNs. In addition, a given logical unit (LU) must be mapped to the Lenovo Storage V7000 through all storage system ports that are zoned to the Lenovo Storage V7000 using the same logical unit number (LUN).
